My name is Christopher Michael Adams. I am a recent graudate of UC Davis with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. At UC Davis my technical courses focused on combustion and thermodynamics. The past two summers I have participated in internship programs with Composites Engineering Inc., and Agilent Technologies.
I also maintain this website, which has changed significantly over the years, and have considered doing freelance web programming. Recently, with the aid of my sister, I developed a website for M K Adams Painting a commercial, residential, and light industrial painting contractor.
As a hobby I enjoy medieval and fantasy genre games. I have played amtgard on and off for the past five years. Amtgard offers me both a creative outlet and a competitive sport. As part of amtgard I have sewn tunics, crafted belts, and woven a suit of 4-in-1 chainmail.
I have accepted a position at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Port Hueneme, CA as a mechanical engineer. I will be starting my new job on June 22, 2009. I am very excited about this position and the next big changes in my life. Next week I will be moving down to Ventura County to find an apartment and get settled in before I start work. My new job also allowed to me to splurge on a new set of wheels to make my way to southern California. With the help of my parents as a co-signer I was able to purchase a new 2009 Subaru WRX (pics are here).
